We are pleased to offer physical viewing of auction lots at our Banbury Salerooms, giving you the opportunity to closely inspect items before placing your bids.
Viewing is typically available the day before each auction, allowing you ample time to evaluate the condition, quality, and finer details of the lots.
Whether you are interested in a single item or a selection of lots, our friendly team is on hand to help with any specific queries or requests. If you'd like to view particular items, we recommend contacting our office in advance to confirm the scheduled viewing dates and times, ensuring that you have all the information you need.
Our dedicated staff will also be happy to assist with any additional information regarding lot details, condition reports, or auction procedures, providing you with the best possible experience as you prepare for the auction. -

Ways to Bid

Leave your bid with us
You can leave an absentee or commission bid stating the maximum amount you would like the auctioneer to bid up to on your behalf for a lot. You can either complete a form when you’re viewing, call or email us with your details.
To find out whether you have won your lot the sales results are posted on our website a few days after the sale. If you have provided us with an email address, if successful, you will receive an email after the sale.

On the phone
You can bid via a person on the telephone acting as your bidder in the room. You will be called approximately 5 lots before your lot. In the event we are unable to connect or signal is lost, you can leave a commission bid on registration.
We will only accept registrations for telephone bids made by 4pm the day before the auction and for lots with the lower estimate over £80.

Online Bidding
You can register via hansonslive.co.uk or the-saleroom.com and bid live online while the sale is in progress.
This saleroom.com attracts an additional 7% charge, plus VAT.
hansonslive.co.uk is an additional 2% charge plus VAT
All our sales are conducted within the terms of our conditions of sale.
Buyers Premium
Each lot purchased is subject to a Buyer’s premium of 26.5% plus VAT.

Payment
Bank transfer - details on the invoice and covering email
Payment links - to allow card payments through either The Saleroom.com or Worldpay - these will be sent out on Monday following a sale.
You must pay for and collect your items no later than 5 working days after the sale. No lot can be collected prior to payment having been made. Items not collected after 7 days from the date of the sale will be charged storage at £2 plus VAT per lot per day. Cars will be charged at £5 plus VAT per lot per day.GPS users please use OX16 5UL to be directed to our car park.

Collection & Deliveries

Collection times are week days from 9.30am to 3.30pm -
Postage & Packaging
We recommend that items of a delicate and fragile nature are collected in person or moved by professional packers, ie Mailbox etc.
We cannot post firearms whether real, restricted or reproduction or swords.
