Valuations for Probate or Insurance
Probate Valuations
We know that dealing with probate can be very difficult so we are committed to offering a sensitive, and efficient service to help take the stress out of the situation. Duplicate copies for all trustees and executors will be provided and we will ensure everyone is kept informed.
We can arrange for a house to be cleared and for contents to be disposed of or sold as appropriate (even if not through one of our auctions). We will ensure all executors and trustees are kept informed during the sale process and that payment is made as quickly as possible.
Our valuations for inheritance tax adhere to Section 160 of the Inheritance Taxes Act 1984.
Insurance Valuations
We are happy to provide written valuations for a single item, an entire house or a collection depending on your requirements.
The report will be bound, illustrated if required and made available in a digital format. Insurance companies recommend keeping images of items insured to help in the event you need to make a claim.
Our insurance valuations are accepted by all leading insurance companies.
We can also provide written market valuations if required for reasons of divorce and family division.
Fees
Please contact us to discuss fees which are charged on an hourly or day rate and not on value.
